I’m completing this mini triathlon in honour of my dad, who we sadly lost to prostate cancer in September 2025. There isn’t a single day that goes by when my heart doesn’t ache from missing him.
I’m taking part to raise money for cancer research in his memory. He was my biggest supporter and my best friend, always encouraging me and believing I could achieve anything I set my mind to. He loved hearing about my adventures and cheering me on every step of the way. When I told him I was thinking about doing a triathlon, it came with a few cheeky comments — but also his full support and reassurance that I could do it. I carry that belief with me as I take on this challenge for him.
