Gary’s Triathlon Fundraiser
Gary Heppell is taking on the York Triathlon Venture distance
I’ve chosen to take part in a triathlon to support Ronald McDonald House Charities because of the incredible work they do for families going through some of the toughest times in their lives. Having a seriously ill child in hospital is something no family is ever prepared for, and the support, accommodation, and sense of normality the charity provides can make a huge difference.
Taking on a triathlon is a personal challenge for me—pushing myself physically and mentally—but it feels even more meaningful knowing it’s for a cause that helps keep families close when they need each other most. Every mile I swim, cycle, and run is about raising awareness and funds so more families can access that vital support.
I’m proud to be part of something that turns effort into real impact, and I’m hoping to raise as much as possible to give back to such an important charity
