- By entering our events the participant agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions and Race Rules.
- The participant understands the events are of a strenuous nature. The participant also understands the medical & physical risks involved and by entering they agree that they are capable of competing in the event.
- The participant agrees that they are solely responsible for their actions and the Event Organiser, its officers, employees, agents, affiliates, associated companies, sponsors or medical advisers are not responsible for any injury or illness that the participant may suffer as a result of his/her participation in the event.
- The participant accepts that the organisers & their friends & associates are not liable for any loss, damage, claim, injury (including fatal) or expense that may arise in consequence of their participation in any of the UK Charity Triathlon events.
- It is the responsibility of the person signing up to ensure they have received the entry confirmation email from UK Charity Triathlon.
- The participant agrees to comply with all race rules, instructions and guidelines given by officials, marshals and safety officials and agrees that the Event Organiser will organise and run the event and will have sole authority and the final decision relating to the safety, running and organisation of the event, the event rules, times and placings.
- The participant grants the Event Organiser and authorised third parties permission to use his/her image (moving or still) and voice where applicable in the making of any film or event promotional material.
- If you wish to take part in any event whilst pregnant, please supply in writing medical clearance to compete from a qualified GP or qualified health care professional to info@charitytriathlon.org
- It is the responsibility of the entrant to check the UK Charity Triathlon website if the Race Day Information email has not been received. Also to check their junk emails.
- It is the responsibility of the participant to contact UK Charity Triathlon via email no later than 5 days before the event, if they have not received their Race Day Information.
- It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that all information provided is correct.
Race Rules
- Diving, tumble turns or back stroke are not permitted any time during your swim.
- An approved safety standard cycle helmet must be worn (no helmet no race).
- Cycles must be in a road worthy condition and may be checked prior to the start.
- Competitors agree to ride their cycle in a responsible manner and obey the Highway Code (where applicable), please consider other road users and above all RIDE SAFELY. Irresponsible cycling will constitute an immediate disqualification and possible prosecution from the police.
- Competitors are responsible for navigating the courses correctly & safely.
- Personal music systems are not permitted at any time during our events for your safety.
- The organisers reserve the right to alter the format of an event without prior notice should the need arise.
- Competitors are responsible for safe guarding all clothing and equipment at the event.
- Results will be available Monday/Tuesday following the event on the official website.
Code of Conduct – Rights, behaviour, competition
As a participant in a UK Charity Triathlon event you will:
- Treat all competitors and the general public with dignity and respect, everyone must be respected as an equal.
- Not discriminate against an individual or group on any grounds, including age, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, disability, race, occupation religion or political persuasion.
- Challenge discrimination in whatever form it takes.
- Recognise that bullying, harassment, and physical violence will not be tolerated.
- You should always display courtesy, good behaviour as well as good manners towards others at all times.
- Avoid swearing, abusive language, and irresponsible behaviour, this includes behaviour to yourself and/or others.
- Avoid destructive behaviour by leaving the event as you would find it.
- When leaving the event, please make sure you have not left any rubbish behind, please make sure you place any rubbish in bins provided by the organisers.
- Report any poor behaviour by others.
- Always adhere to the rules set down by the organiser and the governing body.
- Always cooperate with the officials, failure to do so could result in a disqualification.
- If any inappropriate behaviour were to take place during a UK Charity Triathlon event, it will result in instant disqualification from the event.
Where funds are used
As the organising body, UK Charity Triathlon will manage the distribution of all funds raised.
UK Schools Charity Triathlon (children)
Simply fundraise a minimum of £50 with an ideal target of £100 or more. The initial £50 raised by each participant goes to the organising charity, UK Charity Triathlon. Any amount raised between £50 and £100 will be equally split and paid to the participants chosen school and charity. Any surplus fundraising over £100 will be equally split and paid to the participants chosen school and charity.
UK Charity Triathlon (adults)
Simply fundraise a minimum of £75 with an ideal target of £150 or more. The initial £75 raised by each participant goes to the organising charity, UK Charity Triathlon. Any amount raised between £75 and £150 will be paid direct to the participant’s chosen charity. Any surplus fundraising over £150 will be paid to the participants chosen charity.

By using this website and participating in fundraising activities, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all users, including athletes, parents/guardians, schools, and donors.2. Fundraising Participation
- All participants must have permission from a parent or guardian if under 18.
- Fundraising pages must reflect accurate information about the event, participant, and fundraising goals.
- We reserve the right to remove or edit any content that is misleading, offensive, or violates these terms.
- Your fundraising page will close at midnight on event day. Please make any donations before then, using your fundraising page only. We cannot accept cash or cheques.
- Minimum fundraising must be met 60 days before the event, subject to availability.
3. Donations
- Donations are processed securely via our payment provider.
- All donations are final and non-refundable unless required by law.
- Funds raised will be distributed to the designated charities or schools as stated on each campaign page after the event is completed.
4. Image Uploads
- By uploading an image, you confirm that you have the right to use and share it.
- Images may be cropped or resized to fit the layout of your fundraising page.
- We may use uploaded images for promotional purposes.
5. Privacy
- We collect only the data necessary to run your campaign and process donations.
- Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where required for payment processing or legal compliance.

6. Conduct
- Users must not post content that is abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful.
- We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
